Printmaker

Adell Shetterly has an exploratory spirit and draws on encounters with nature and everyday life, seeking to integrate her natural inclinations of organic and inanimate inspiration in her print art and book art investigations. Shetterly works from her home studio and at the A6 studio at Bend Art Center. Shetterly has supported A6 from its inception, serving at various times as a volunteer, programming consultant, and social media/web content administrator.

“When truly engaged in art-making, time stands still. Lost in creativity and exploration, the artistic vision evolves … moving forward or backward … and perhaps it begins anew with a spark of innovation. Motivated to be present in this state of discovery, I savor the journey traveled in creation of art.” — Shetterly

“When it is working, you completely go into another place, you’re tapping into things that are totally universal, completely beyond your ego and your own self. That’s what it’s all about.” —Keith Haring
