Portland painter and printmaker Tracy Leagjeld returns to the A6 Print Studio this summer 2018 to share her unique approach to monotype in this three-day workshop. Experiment with a combination of acrylic paints and oil-based inks, wax paper for “plates”, and printing onto boards instead of paper.  Leagjeld will demonstrate techniques for printing oil-based inks by hand on top of an acrylic underpainting to create rich, color-saturated monotypes.

Tracy Leagjeld

Leagjeld shifts easily between painting and printmaking, and uses her art to communicate and share with others her love and reverence for nature. She creates layered, subtley textured landscapes as well as cityscapes. Leagjeld’s work is frequently exhibited in Bend, Sunriver, Vancouver and Portland. She is represented locally by Tumalo Art Company, which she co-owned and managed from 2005-2010. Her work can be found in several corporate and private collections. Leagjeld’s last visit to the A6 Print Studio was in 2008. Leagjeld’s work is featured on the cover of our current Winter/Spring 2018 Catalog.
