Encaustic Painter / Printmaker

As an encaustic painter and printmaker, Barbara Hudin’s subject matter may include fantasy landscapes, animals, and the human form. She is currently working on a series of prints called “Visions and Signs,” with 3 processes and often combines them for a single print. The processes are encaustic with dry point on plexiglass, ImagOn HD intaglio type, solar film laminated on plexiglass or metal plates — after “processing” computer code imagery which she had transfered to a plate and worked with the other techniques.

All print editions are hand-inked and manually run through an etching press in her studio or at the A6 print studio at Bend Art Center.
