Dawn oversees Bend Art Center’s school programs and community arts education programs such as “Cheers to Art.” Dawn is a regular guide for public and private exhibit tours. Dawn develops school programs (held on and off-site) to introduce K-12 students to a wide range of contemporary and historic art. These school programs support State Education Standards and use art to enhance learning of science, history, math and language arts.  School programs also cultivate students’ understanding and appreciation of art and typically include studio time for creative skill-building.

Dawn teaches printmaking classes at A6 and is an adjunct faculty member of Central Oregon Community College and OSU-Cascades.

Dawn holds an MFA in Printmaking from Bradley University, and earned her Bachelor of Arts (Magna Cum Laude) from Willamette University. Dawn served as A6’s Executive Director from 2014-2017 and helped guide the organization’s transition to Bend Art Center. Prior to A6, Dawn spent ten years as a freelance graphic designer, copywriter and marketing consultant with a focus on Central Oregon nonprofits.
