Collagraphs are an exciting, immediate and intuitive form of printmaking. They are an accessible and environmentally friendly technique. Printing matrices are created using found and recycled materials. Over the course of the workshop, participants are introduced to a range of approaches to making a collagraph, including materials and supports; various methods of plate construction; basic and advanced inking techniques using both intaglio and relief methods. Carborundum techniques are also introduced to create rich velvety tones. Come explore the endless possibilities printmaking offers us. This workshop is open to all people and all levels of creative exploration.
