Nancy Floyd has been an exhibiting artist for over thirty years.  She holds a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin, an MA from Columbia College Chicago, and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.  She has received many notable grants including the 2020 International Center of Photography / GOST Books First Photo Book Award, a 2018 Aaron Siskind Photography Fellowship, a 2016-17 CUE Art Foundation Fellowship, and a 2015 John Gutmann Photography Fellowship Award .  She is represented by Whitespace Gallery.

Nancy has over thirty years of teaching experience in photography and is Professor Emerita of Photography in the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she taught for 20 years.  During her tenure she held leadership roles as graduate director of the school, area coordinator of the photo program, and for many years managed the analog and digital photography studios.  In addition, she has volunteered with the Society for Photographic Education as a conference organizer and portfolio reviewer.
