Opening Reception: Fri, Oct 5, 5-9 pm
On Display Oct 5-Nov 27, 2018

A6 Founder Patricia Clark began exploring water tables in her art in 2014. Her sketches and mixed-media works on clayboard contain mappings of the edges and ledges of the water table, and metaphorical symbols of the table itself. The subject of water tables reverberates with Clark’s childhood memories of the Red River flooding her family home, her mappings of Minnesota (“the land of a thousand lakes”), and her heightened awareness of water’s presence, absence, and importance in Oregon’s high desert.

Clark invited six colleagues to join in this exploration of water tables and create work for the exhibit. “Water Tables” features the work of encaustic artist Barbara Hudin, photographer Carol Sternkopf, and local sculptors Abney Wallace, Ron Schultz, Bill Cravis, and Christian Brown.
